God Domain: Magic
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Type of God: Minor
Pronouns: She/Her
Personality: Like the Deity of Creation, Sigil is calm and gracious and well balanced. She is meticulous in her decisions as being a goddess of Magic requires absolute accuracy. She does carry from the other gods who helped create her, such as a love of talent from Laheyuk. She looks for the most talented among the arcane to grant power to. She is also expressive and closed in like Valo and Tooma, keeping to her own studies, but also reaching out to mortals in need.
Contributions: Granted magic to the World of Wanderfell in the form of a weavelike structure for any arcanist (druids/rangers/wizards/ sorcerers/warlocks/clerics/paladins) to tap into.
Followers: Those who follow Sigil are those of knowledge and balance. They wish to discover and hone their skills. This is not always at the betterment of society, but mostly to better that follower as a person. Many are free to do as they wish under Sigil's guidance.
As more and more minor gods began to rise after the Celestial War, other gods began to question whether or not they should contribute to the creation of such minor gods. One god in particular, the God of Talent, Laheyuk wanted to give the mortals more power in terms of their connections to the gods.
He along with Valo, Tooma, and Bruoda, the deity of creation, made a whimsical yet kind and sweet soul. From the cosmos and arcane power rose Sigil. She was calm and wise but inherited the traits of all the gods involved in creating her. She was carefree as Valo and secretive like Tooma, but had a longi ng to reach out to the mortals to teach them the ways of a newfound energy; magic.
As Sigil grew she learned how to deal with the mortals below as well as the gods she resided with. She had to be proper and organized but yet nimble and free. She eventually constructed what she called a weave. It was known as a wellspring of magic that anyone could tap into no matter what type of magic they used, whether it was primal, arcane, or holy. Magic connected all the people and could be used for anything. That was Sigil's dream.
As she reached godly adulthood, sigil ventured out into the mortal world to spread her findings and show the mortals that they were more capable than they thought to be. Many avoided her, but some followed. One of which was Lucious Malificer, a man of man old and many talents. He had mastered many mundane arts such as, sewing, glassblowing, blacksmithing, stone working and so much more. His life never felt fully complete. This was Sigil's first disciple. She granted Lucious the ability of the arcane and he used that to become the very first court mage of the [insert country here] empire. With this power the humans were able to spread their magic to the world.
Lucious took on many students who then moved onto to take students of their own, thus spreading magic throughout Wanderfell. Satisfied with her work, Sigil returned to the Heavens and reported her work to which the Primal Gods were pleased. They continued to allow such creation with the mortals under the guidance of Sigil.
